Scholarship opportunity!  State Board of Directors has created a new grant which will be available to students of MTAC teachers for the purpose of providing assistance with the payment for private music lessons. Applicants should be serious music students who are already studying with an MTAC teacher, but whose families cannot afford to continue lessons. There will be five grants, each of $1,000. Applications will be accepted between March 1 and May 31, 2012, for use during the 2012-2013 school year.  Please click HERE for application form.

Happy New Year!   January has been an eventful month for us.  We celebrated the arrival of the new year with beautiful music and delicious food on the 7th.  Congratulations to Jeremy, Natalie, Jasmine and Francine for winning awards and honors at the Winter Festival as we celebrate the arrival of the Chinese New Year, the year of the golden dragon.  Coming up, we will have a studio workshop on Feb. 4 at 5:00 p. m.  The Bach Festival and the Panel audition are on Feb. 25.  If you are interested in the MTAC State Solo competition, please click on the link below to down load information and application forms.  There is also the Glendale Piano Competition coming up, for more information, please click HERE.

Congratulations to Chris Zhang for passing Panel this year and being selected to perform at the State Convention!

Congratulations to Catherine Chen and Jeremy Wang for winning the Bach Festival on Feb. 26.  Also Congrats to Natalie Tantisirirat for getting the Alternate Award.

Congratulations to Jeremy Wang, for his wonderful performance at the LA Senior Center over the Thanksgiving weekend.  He has been invited back to perform again during the holidays!
